Snugpak Travelpak 2 Sleeping Bag

Point blank: the only sleeping bag you should ever carry is the Snugpak. I’ve always traveled with them due to their high compression abilities because, like the brand name suggests, the Snugpak sleeping bag has a remarkably small pack-down size. In fact, I can’t rate them enough in terms of their ease to carry without their warmth and comfort being compromised.

The Snugpak Travelpak 2 Sleeping Bag is no exception, packing down to just 1 x 7 x 7 inches (2.5 x 17.8 x 17.8 cm) and weighing in at 1.1kg (2.44 pounds) it’s a breeze to travel with. Designed for conditions down to -2 Celsius (27 Degrees Fahrenheit) it’s perfect for keeping you warm in most temperate climates without unnecessarily weighing you down.

For backpackers especially, the Snugpak Travelpak 2 Sleeping Bag is the clear sleeping bag of choice as it’s perfect to squeeze into a small bag. And unless you’re travelling to the Artic or going mountaineering, it should totally suffice in terms of the kinds of temperatures you’ll be encountering.

In addition, Snugpak Travelpak 2 Sleeping Bag is perfect for tropical climates. With a specialist treatment on both its outer layers and inside linings, it’s primed to fight the growth of bacteria. Necessarily, this reduces the development of any odours or mould and reduces the need for regular laundering. In remote, underdeveloped or rural areas, particularly in warm places, this is a godsend!

The Snugpak Travelpak 2 Sleeping Bag also has a great number of additional features that make it handy for every sort of traveller including hikers and campers. The sleeping bag’s built-in zip pockets, mean you can sleep easy knowing any valuables are safely hidden away, stowed right beside you. Normally I keep my passport in there, as well as a small supply of cash, a bank card and any other key documents.  This brings great peace of mind.

The roll-away insect netting also guarantees you protection from mosquitos and other critters which may find your way into your Snugpak Travelpak 2 Sleeping Bag if it is left outside, strapped to a bag or in a tent. This netting feature secures the sleeping bag when not in use and can then be easily rolled-away when you need to get in for the night, letting you know that you’ll be sleeping soundly  and alone! This is certainly a feature I, and many other women, will greatly appreciate!

The Snugpak Travelpak 2 Sleeping Bag is highly breathable and comes with its own compression stuff sack. For the price, its hard to find better,
